Archeological sites
Scotland has probably the best Celtic buildings that can be found in Europe, the most important is a stone village called Skara Brae – Orkney (3100 BC).
There are also a large number of “Duns” stone towers, such as Dun Charlabhaigh – Isle of Lewis (200 -800 AD). On the islands there is a very high
concentration of Standing Stones, the most famous are Calanais – Isle of Lewis (3000 BC) and the Ring of Brodgar – Orkney (2000 – 2500 BC).
